Sienna Spiro - Visitor

Sienna Spiro Visitor Album Cover Review Critic Lyrics Showbiz by PS Art

At first glance, Sienna Spiro seems to have appeared out of nowhere.

These days, though, "out of nowhere" usually means either TikTok or a major label push. In Sienna's case, it's a combination of both. Behind her rise is the magic of TikTok alongside significant label support. But there's another factor that outweighs all the conversations about yet another nepo baby artist: Sienna Spiro is undeniably a remarkably talented vocalist.

Her debut album, Visitor, follows only her 2025 EP Sink Now, Swim Later, which served as an introduction to her as an artist to watch. That story continues here, and even before the album's release she had already scored at least two breakout songs with "Die On This Hill" and the title track "The Visitor". While "Die on This Hill" is beautiful, I can't say I fully understand why it became the viral hit that it did. "The Visitor", on the other hand, is genuinely stunning and serves as an incredibly elegant introduction to Sienna Spiro as an artist.

What Visitor offers is an interesting blend of influences. At different moments you can hear shades of Adele, Olivia Dean, Teddy Swims, Sia, Lola Young, John Legend, and even RAYE. Yet despite all those familiar touchpoints, her beautifully raspy voice gives her a distinct identity that makes the record feel like more than just a collection of inspirations.

Songs like "This Is My House", "We Are Not in Love", "Pure", and "You Stole the Show" can best be described as luxurious lounge music. Meanwhile, tracks such as "Great Expectation" reveal her strengths as a songwriter. Discovering that she is only 20 years old makes that even more impressive, because she already sounds remarkably mature and unusually confident for a debut.

The album also shines on songs like "He’s Not My Baby, I’m His" and "Time, You & Me", where her voice is placed in cinematic arrangements that occasionally drift into James Bond soundtrack territory. It's a setting that suits her exceptionally well and allows her biggest strength — her voice — to take center stage.

At the same time, Visitor occasionally lacks variety and a sense of boldness. Still, it's difficult to expect a fully formed artist from a 20-year-old making her debut album. There's clearly still room for growth, and here the pursuit of cohesion sometimes comes at the expense of making the record feel more adventurous. Even so, there isn't a single bad song across its concise 33-minute runtime.

I'm not sure I'll find myself returning to all ten tracks regularly, but the album's highlights are more than strong enough to introduce a genuinely interesting new artist. Sienna Spiro fits naturally into the recurring demand for sophisticated British soul — a lane that artists like Adele have previously defined.

Visitor isn't a perfect debut, but it's certainly an intriguing one and absolutely worth paying attention to.
